Hi Krisztian,

I did miss your mail.

in, but then I checked in the httpd.conf file and >>there it is loaded as a
module (and now I checked the mod_rewrite too, and it is also there):

Yes you are right they are dynamically loaded.

>>Are the LoadModule and AddModule directives for loading a module
dynamically? Why I need them both to define, and >>why are they different
e.g. for mod_proxy (libproxy.so, mod_proxy.c) while for mod_rewrite just the
extension is different?

success. There is basically no special error >>message, just my common web

to do anything. >>Or I get part of the start page of the webmail service,

are not loaded). And if in such case I click on the "Refresh" button in
Internet Explorer I get my common web page is >>displayed, the same like for
www.test.com.

I am not sure in here. What do u get when u type webmail.test.com ? Is it
part of webmail service or www.test.com itself ?

My guess is this is your httpd.conf configs now:

<VirtualHost yourexternalIP:80>
           Servername www.test.com
           DocumentRoot /usr/local/httpd/test_home/docs"
           ErrorLog  /usr/local/httpd/test_home/ErrorLog/error_log
          CustomLog /usr/local/httpd/test_home/CustomLog/access_log
common
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost yourexternalIP:80>
 Servername  webmail.test.com
 RewriteEngine On
 RewriteRule (.*) http://yourExternalIP:3000$1 [P]
</VirtualHost>

Basically i tested a similar configuration locally (almost similar) and it
did work. So my only hunch is mod_proxy is not working as it should. Or
there is some small problem. Send me your httpd.conf that might help.

I agree nothing in the error logs.
