thanks for your response, I applied the patch.
I wanted to know how you were able to find out that the response sent by 
apache is 20bytes too large?
Have you sniffed the packets on the client with ethereal or something?

I'm still experiencing problems with my reverseproxy configuration when 
browsing with IE 6.0 while it works with mozilla.
It seems that frames should be loaded by java-script don't get requested 
by the browser.
Without reverseproxy or without compression or without ssl it works.
