That is why people use fully qualified domainnames.  In a crowed place 
with lots of people, if someone shouts, "Hey, Chris!", they are going to 
get the attention of more than one person.  But if they were to fully 
qualify my name, I'd know they mean me.  When you ask for www.micro who 
knows what is going to happen.  The guy standing closest to you with a 
name similar to that will probably think you are talking to him.

But anyway, as you know now this isn't an Apache problem, so good luck 
with what ever you decide to do.
