Hello,

I had this problem when I was trying to install a PPM It turns out that these PPM files are
simply pointers written in
an XML type language that tells the ppd thing where to find the source.
Just go into the PPM file with an ASCII text editor.  From there, you can
see where the source is coming from.  I simply used this address and
downloaded the source separately.  Then I edited the PPM file to point to
where I placed it locally on my machine.  

I hope this addresses your situation.
