If you have or can get the black and white Apache Handbook, it has a script
in it you can copy or modify to your own liking just for this purpose.
Install the script in /etc/rc2.d or /etc/rc3.d as you like and it will work
just fine.

Hello.  Newbie question.

Whats the best way to get httpd to start at boot time?

Does anybody have a sample script?


I was thinking creating a httpd script with the simple
words /etc/sbin/apachectl start and making it part of
rc3.d.  Does that sound about right or am I way off?
