I think the best way to accomplish this task is to read the php INSTALL and
README files - if memory serves me right, you are going to need to compile
mysql, then compile php with mysql support, then compile apache with php
support and edit the httpd.conf file so it recognizes the .php extension.

The php documentation is very thorough, I think that would be the best place
to get your foundation to do this.

Please, i need help.. i am new to httpd, php and mysql
i am trying to set up a webserver"httpd" that works with php and mysql
i download the source code for the 3 of them but i don't know where to 
start.
i have redhat 8.0 that already has httpd installed on it.
