Subject RE: [users@httpd] ascii chars not showing
Date Tue, 14 Jan 2003 16:48:47 GMT
Hi all.

I'm really surprised that I've had no replies to this problem. Come on guys
and gals - can no one help?
I receive dozens of emails per day from users@httpd.apache.org with all
sorts of different problems.

Now, I've tried putting this in the httpd.conf:

AddCharset ISO-8859-1  .iso8859-1

..but still getting unicode when posting a thread using phpBB2.

Can someone please help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all.
I'm not giving up on this yet, but I need some assistance, especially from
those with the following spec:
Apache = 1.3.27, Win NT = 4.0, service pack 6.

As mentioned before, located in phpBB2 file (lang_main.php) is the
parameter:
$lang['ENCODING'] = 'iso-8859-1';
This is okay - it complies with my area for char encoding.

I think the problem may lie with Apache's files.
The following is what I have in my httpd.conf file. What I need to know is
if I should have AddCharset ISO-8859-1 listed aswell? Can someone please
check.

TIA.
