Subject [users@httpd] 405 - method not allowed, access_log
Date Wed, 22 Jan 2003 13:42:50 GMT
today I've already 2 405:

200.30.203.160 - - [22/Jan/2003:02:36:20 +0100] "CONNECT 199.232.76.166:25
HTTP/1.0" 405 303 "-" "-"
130.94.69.75 - - [22/Jan/2003:14:11:32 +0100] "CONNECT maila.microsoft.com:25
HTTP/1.0" 405 303 "-" "-"

that looks like new spammer activity - anyone else?

If you're running a proxy and proxy_connect.c is compiled in
proof your httpd.conf and remove allow all (if it was there for testing)

<Proxy *>
     Order deny,allow
     Allow from all
 </Proxy>

the same goes for squid as an accelerator on port 80
