Subject [users@httpd] vhosts, documentroot, apache-user and cgi-user
Date Wed, 08 Jan 2003 12:04:54 GMT
Dear all,

I run several virtual hosts.

Within the documentroot, I need to execute cgis.

httpd runs as nobody.nogroup

When I execute a cgi script below the documentroot, it gets executed
as nobody.nogroup too.

So, no suexec is run.

Is there any way to specify that all cgi and ssi scripts are run as a
different user? For example the one that would own the directory?
suexec could be extended to provide this functionality, couldn't it?

Or is there any other possibility to set the user for cgi and ssi scripts
running below documentroot?
