Subject Re: [users@httpd] How do I change the name of domain name?

You'll need to delete the old entry in your DNS pointing to the old name
and add a new ip/servername pair.
Change also the directive called "ServerNmae" in httpd.conf at your 2ยบ
Apache server.
It takes some time to update the new entry, propagating the new setup to
slaves and caches around.

That's all.

Hi!

I have two apache servers.

One with A IP address and domain name(www.mydomain.com)

One with a IP address and domain name(www.backup.mydomain.com)

I want to change the name of the second domain to
www.myname.mydomain.com.

Where do I change it? Do I just change the A record? Do I change from
the apache server?

Can some help me or point to the website where I can read?

As you can tell from my wording I am a pretty new to this.

Thanks millions
