I did not touch that file.I tried to installing apache and I got this error.I had an old version
of apache and I removed it.I also have tomcat 4 mabe a  conflict ?!
I simply try to reinstalling apache 2 downloaded from the apache.org site.

  Well, on line 198 there is an error in your syntax.

  Look at the httpd.conf file again, and make sure you made no spelling mistakes etc.

  Look over it and make sure ITS ALL correct.

    ServerAdmin takes one arguments.The e-mail address of the server administrator.....
    Any help?
    ps I removed an old version of apache using the tool that apache gave to me for installing
it.
