In case the directory mercedissa is under the DocumentRoot folder then you
should just add the following to you r httpd.conf file:

    <Directory "c:/apache/htdocs/mercedissa /">
        Options Indexes MultiViews
        AllowOverride None
        Order allow,deny
        Allow from all
AuthType Basic
AuthName "Please Enter your Username and Password"
AuthUserFile "c:/apache/bin/users."
Require valid-user
    </Directory>

If the mercedissa is not under the htdocs file, you'll need to create an
Alias for it, which means to add the following line too to your conf file,
just like that:

    Alias /mercedissa / "d:/mercedissa/"
