Subject: [users@httpd] Apache 2.0 @ RH8.0 is EXTREMELY slow in sending
responses generated by php or cgi pages...

Dear Apache Users,

I am experiencing a very strange problem with Apache 2.0.40 running under
RedHat 8.0

When the server is accessed from another LAN host http files are returned
with no problems. If a CGI or PHP page is requested, then it takes
tremendous time for the server to send the response. The first few Kb of the
generated html are sent pretty fast, then the server stops for a while, and
continues to send responses in small chunks with large intervals... strace
shows
read(5, 0xbffffd27, 1)        = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily
unavailable)...

When the server is accessed from the browser running locally on the same
host, then everything is fine and the same PHP/CGI pages are received very
fast...

The hosts are in a local 192.168.0.xxx subnetwork...

Has anybody experienced the same problem? If so your help will be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
Dima.
