Subject [users@httpd] Apache and IPV6
Date Wed, 04 Dec 2002 14:45:51 GMT
Hi everybody,

I would try to use a PC running windows XP 5.1 as an IPv6 HTTP server.
I installed apache 2.0.43.

When I add the ipv6 listen statement ( LISTEN [::]:80 ) in the httpd.conf,
the apache server failed to start.
So i just let "Listen 80" without specifiing ipv4 nor ipv6.
But in this case, the port 80 of the apache server reject the ipv6 http
request like shown in the following ethereal traces:

http request: 1036 > http [syn] Seq=86935587 Ack=0 Win=8192 Len=0 MSS=1335
http response from server: http > 1036 [RST, ACK] Seq=0 Ack=86935588 Win=0
Len=0

If you already encounters the problem please respond me.

Thanks a lot for your help.
