Subject [users@httpd] Apache cookies
Date Wed, 11 Dec 2002 22:04:26 GMT
Hello peeps,

Could someone please explain the point of cookies as implemented in
Apache?

Having used Cookies under Tomcat, I am used to them providing a means
of identifying an individual session. I understand that Apache, being
an http daemon, is session-less, but if the Cookie is not stored on the
browser, returns different information each time and provides no
information which cannot be retrieved from other logs, what is the
point of it?

Thanks in adcance,

Matt.
