or, simply forward the relevant part of the logs to your isp.
they will track down the isp the other server is on and let them know.
that causes the infected server to be cleaned, or shut down.
( I usually forward the relevant part the logs to the offending isp, 
with a cc to mine. that actually cleans it up. )
the isp providing the connection is required ( in North America at least 
) to ensure that their network does not spread virii. so the server 
owner either cleans it ir is taken offline.
