Subject [users@httpd] Huge number of VirtualHosts
Date Wed, 11 Dec 2002 13:11:50 GMT
Hello,

anyone with experience in configurations of over 15000 virtual hosts?

Boxes will be Linux Kernel >= 2.4.18 (load balanced through an L4
switch), Apache may be 1.3.x or 2.y.z.

Each vhost will have its own error/access log file so I estimate about
30000 file descriptors needed.

So, has anyone deployed a similar scenario?
Can I do it? Should I do it? What kind of problems should I expect?

TIA.
