What do you have to wait for?  The whole purpose of the progress bar is to
be there while the file is actually uploading!  Once the file is uploaded,
you can show status meters as part of the response.  Here's a graphical

User presses upload --> file transfering --> Apache::UploadMeter shows
progress bar
--> upload completed --> Apache::UploadMeter closes meter window + response
handler starts work --> JavaScript/PHP/Flash application runs as response

So Apache::UploadMeter runs (server-side) as the file is uploading, and then
once the upload is complete, your application runs and show the output.
