Well.... I agree that complete url access is invaluable to public sites, but I'm working on a site that interacts with our software product. This site would be limited to a certain group of users. Sometimes our users can get some crazy ideas by possibly inserting data into the url (we all have done it) .... so with that in mind....I was thinking of having complete autonomy so that the user has only the interface to work with when navigating. I think this adds an another layer of security (albeit a small one) from the average user and not a cracker.
