Somewhere you must have:

Options Indexes

which is forcing the indexing to appear...

To be sure, add "-Indexes" to your "Options" line, i.e.

Options Multiviews -Indexes 

PS - I don't mean to be cheeky, but I hope your spelling is more
accurate in httpd.conf than it is in the mail :-)
