You need to find out what's going on... Briefly,

- use apache in single-user mode
- run under truss

In detail (assuming you are root and have a normal directory layout):

# cd /usr/local/apache2/bin
# ./apachectl stop
# ps -ef | grep httpd (make sure all httpd daemons are gone)
# truss ./httpd -X  (this runs as single user under truss)

watch the output while you hit the site and see what it says. Post back
if you don't understand what it says (no guarantee I will either :-)
