Subject [users@httpd] [AP2] use of config.layout
Date Tue, 26 Nov 2002 15:27:26 GMT
In apache 1.3.x, one could use --with-layout=foo, and then use the
config.layout file to define the various directories.

In additions, a specific location could be defined thus:
     datadir: $prefix/share+

The use of '+' in a location means that the files are actually stored in
a subdirectory of the same name as the --target name.

In apache 2.0.x, the switch is now --enable-layout=LAYOUT, and no longer
seems to support the '+' syntax.

Is this true?
Is there some other way to emulate this functionality?

As a secondary question - the 1.3.x switch "--show-layout" has also
gone, is this related to the loss of functionality with the
config.layout lines?

Many thanks.
