I removed the<Limit GET><LMIST> and made it like this:

the password file, and group file are the same.

Is there anything else I need to do in my conf file? I have the
'AccessFileName .htaccess' un-commented, and dir Index looks like:

<IfModule mod_dir.c>
    DirectoryIndex index.html default.php index.php
</IfModule>
