Well, I don't think the <a 
href="http://www.aboutpaypal.org/california_suit.htm">class-action 
lawsuit</a> filed against them is 'urban legend'.  Perhaps unsound, but 
certainly true.  If you are interested in reading about more people with

eBay itself has been the <a 
href="http://www.computerworld.com/industrytopics/retail/story/0,10801,64407,
00.html">focus</a> of much consumer fraud scandal, so they may well not 
be the white knight you herald them as.
