Sometimes an error can be so bad (or maybe you have the logging 
threshhold so low) that there wasn't any error generated.  Maybe 
something would show up if you set

LogLevel debug

???

401          Unauthorized       The request requires user authorization.

404          Not Found          The server cannot find the information
                                 specified in the request.

500          Internal Server    The server could not satisfy the request
              Error              due to an internal error condition.

501          Not Implemented    The server does not support the 
requested

502          Bad Gateway        The server received an invalid response
                                 from the server from which it was 
trying to
                                 retrieve information.

503          Service            The server cannot process this request
              Unavailable        at the current time.
