Subject [users@httpd] RewriteMap &Co
Date Wed, 23 Oct 2002 05:55:44 GMT
Hi all.

Can i define RewriteMap in the httpd.conf file and use it in
the .htaccess file? Will it work at all?

I'm trying map URLs to filesystem by first directory in request. Map information
is in the plain text file. Is there any mistakes except
"httpd.conf - .htaccess" related?

http.conf part:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteMap map txt:/path/map.txt

.htaccess part:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/([^/]+)/.*$
RewriteCond %{map:%1} ^(.+)$
RewriteRule .* /dirs/%1/

The map.txt file consist of:
dir rewriteDir
#EOF map

Best regards, Evgeny.
