Subject [users@httpd] Access based previous page visited info
Date Tue, 15 Oct 2002 09:40:20 GMT

Most web clients will carry information about the previous page visited if
the visited website is not using secure HTTP:

Our webserver here is called Aweb (, and we want only
clients that have visited another website directory here
called to access a particular directory and its
sub-directories in our website (http://Aweb/fromBweb/ ). This is how my
httpd.conf looks like:

     # Allow browsers from
     SetEnvIf Referer "^" local_referal
     <Directory /www/htdocs/fromBweb>
        Order Deny,Allow
        Deny from all
        Allow from env=local_referal

The result is that browsers coming from can access
only ../fromBweb and not its subdirectories. How can I make it to access
the sub-directories under fromBweb?

We have an Apache 1.3 Web Server, Solaris 8.

Thanks in advance
