You have a few options:

- install the patch which creates a /dev/random on Solaris (patch id
112438-01 from Sun).
- install the prngd daemon which emulates it - see
http://www.aet.tu-cottbus.de/personen/jaenicke/postfix_tls/prngd.html

another possibility is to create a file of random data (just gzip a
large logfile or something) and then "setenv RANDFILE
/path/to/random_data_file" and try compiling again...

We are trying compile apache 1.3.27 with auth_disest support.  When we 
run the make it tells us that lrand, which is a part of truerand, is not
found.  We do not have a /dev/random device so how do we solve this 
problem?
