Subject [users@httpd] httpd contention
Date Tue, 08 Oct 2002 20:21:16 GMT
Hello,

I was searching for some similar features between BEA Tuxedo and Apache
Webserver using some kind of webservices (ie: SOAP, XMLRPC).

One of the main features of BEA Tuxedo is to do contention of the
transactions requested. You can configure to receive a lot of requests but process <n>
with different and dynamic priorities (briefly speaking).

When your client is a human is important to resolve the transaction fast,
but in many cases of the "webservices approach" the transaction can wait.

Apache Webserver has some similar feature beyond the natural contention on
the OS?

Thank You
Sebastian Wain
