It probably binds per request/subreq - so you will get a few every time
for various subreqs, on top of image requests.    What's wrong with binding
a few times (assuming the same connection is re-used)?  The only way to
stop the binding would be to cache authenticated users, but i don't believe
that particular ldap auth module does any caching.
