Subject [users@httpd] SSL & name based virtual hosting
Date Wed, 16 Oct 2002 16:13:40 GMT
Hi

does anyone know if its possible to use names based virtual hosting
with SSL. For example:
i have setup two domains:
https://domain1.co.za
https://domain2.co.za

i am able to get the virtual hosting working, BUT it uses the same SSL
certificate (domain1.co.za), even though i have two certificates AND
have pointed them both seperately in the httpd.conf file?

When using URL https://domain1.co.za i get the right page from the
correct doc root and the SSL certificate dont complain.

When using URL https://domain2.co.za i get the right page from the
correct doc root , BUT the wrong SSL certificate complaining that the
name of the site does NOT match the name of the certificate (when
clicking on view certificate , i can see its using domain1.co.za
certificate).

I do hope someone has tried this before...?

cheers
hendrik
