I upped the log level to 3 and the log started writing out this...

1.2.3.4 - - [02/Oct/2002:16:41:17 -0500]
[www.domain.com/sid#4003aaa8][rid#402d39a0/initial] (2) init rewrite engine
with requested uri /foo/bar.html
1.2.3.4 - - [02/Oct/2002:16:41:17 -0500] [www.domain.com/sid#4003aaa8][rid#
402d39a0/initial] (3) applying pattern '^/(.*)' to uri '/foo/bar.html'

...numerous times for each request.  Nothing else though.  Does this mean
anything to you?
