What are the name of the directory's index file? And, it do work if you
address the index file explicitly, right?

It looks like you're using mod_vhost_alias, and perhaps it doesn't work well
with DirectoryIndex (although it should). I have always seen and used
DirectoryIndex only in the server-wide config, and that I would suggest
you'd try.

PS. If you host other people's web sites, a good idea would be to also put
index.htm in the list, as some people like to use that.
