I would like to reccomend, or at least have you check out:"awstats"
http://awstats.sourceforge.net/

It's a GREAT perl based stat program that has a lot of features!!

One of the cool features is that you can click on a link on the site, or
login into the box and update the stats in realtime, so your able to see
whats going on with your site as visitors are visiting.
