No real cons, per se...  Should have the same security/deployment issues
as
regular Unix.

On a side note about accessing it:  I teach Web Server design at a local
community college and have found that the "client" version of MacOS X
doesn't seem to want to handle more than 10 concurrent accesses - I've
tested this many times with 50+ students simultaneously.

If you are using the "server" edition - then by all means Rock On :)
MacOS X
makes PHP development with Apache sweet (that is no lie considering I am
a
Perl Monger and teach Perl here as well.  ;)
