Is there an Include directive for http-perl.conf? Have you = made=20 the changes there, too? Anyway, if you're on the learning road targeting apache + mysql I'd sugge= st=20 you to download an apache 1.3.26 tarball, extract in /usr/local/ and compile it --with-port=3D82 so you can fire it= up=20 immediately. If you have a bit more understanding stop the Mandrake=20 perl-httpd, replace port 82 with 80 in your /usr/local conf, replace the=20 binary httpd in /usr/sbin (make a copy to httpd.orig), and replace the=20 httpd.conf in /etc/httpd/conf (make a copy). So on system startup your se= rver=20 is called by the init scripts. That way everything should work as you expected :- --=20 _ ___ | | Irmund Thum | | =20 --------------------------------------------------------------------- The official User-To-User support forum of the Apache HTTP Server Project.
