Setup two different virtual = hosts:

For the first one use: = (excerpt)
    ServerName www.site.uk
    DocumentRoot=20 /path/to/site/pub
and for the second: = (excerpt)
    ServerName = site.uk
    ServerAlias =20 dev.site.uk
    DocumentRoot=20 /path/to/site/dev
 
The ServerAlias was just for fun, = no need to=20 do so.
 
Read up on Virtual Hosts, and come back = if you have=20 any problems.
