Subject Apache http server with jsp enabled
Date Mon, 26 Aug 2002 00:38:45 GMT
Hi, I am a newbie to the mailing list, appreciate for the following

__ Purpose: Want to deploy java servlet/JSP on an apache web server

__ Backgroud: I used to use iPlanet web server before, servlet/JSP is a
standard feature with iPlanet.
For a new project, our partner company proposes to use apache http server.
After studying some topics
on the apache web site, I know that Tomcat seems to be a must for deploying
JSP on an apache http server.

__ Questions:
__ Do I have to use Tomcat for enabling apache with servlet/JSP
if no, what is other alternative?
__ I found that apache http server and Tomcat are working on different
ports(80 vs 8080),
is it possibe to integrate them together with one port? or I need a
easy way to integrate
them together, as I feel not easy to use Tomcat command to deploy a
new servlet.
