Thanks guys, I have done so.

I didn't email this one, but have emailed two other prior queries to
the list for which I got no reply for... so I kinda felt there was no
point.

No. You need to make a new certificate. It's like you lost the key to
a padlock - you need to buy a new padlock with a new key. The
passphrase exists specifically to prevent you starting the server
without it...
