Subject RE: Running Apache2 (Windows) with mod_jk
Date Thu, 15 Aug 2002 11:52:28 GMT

Thanks for your reference to my question.
Since I have followed the configuration procedure as described by the
Apache-Tomcat HOWTO but still I have recived the following error
"C:/Java/jakarta-tomcat-3.2.3/conf/mod_jk.conf-auto:
Cannot load C:/Java/Apache2/modules/mod_jk.dll into server: The specified
module could not be found"
But the mod_jk.dll file was at that location.
Do I need to add anything to the configuration (httpd.conf, server.xml,
workers.properties, md_jk.conf-auto) that is not specified in the tutorials
? I can not understand why the Apache (Win32) does not load the mod_jk.dll.

Thanks.

mod_jk has not been replaced by Tomcat. mod_jk is a Tomcat connector for
various web servers and it works fine in Apache 1.3 and 2.0. There is
also a new version, mod_jk2 in development now. Look under
jakarta-tomcat-connectors here: http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/.
