Subject Administrivia question: subject prefix?
Date Fri, 23 Aug 2002 19:35:04 GMT
The question has come up off-list concerning whether messages to the
list should include a '[users@httpd]' or similar prefix in the subject line.
That is, this message's subject would change from

Administrivia question: subject prefix?

to

[users@httpd] Administrivia question: subject prefix?

This is apparently useful for some people who use mail agents that have
trouble sorting on other fields in the header. And the noise/annoyance
to the people who don't have this problem would seem to be less than the
current pain for those who do.

Before I make any change, though, I'd like to hear opinions from the
denizens of the list.. please reply if you have strong feelings one
way or the other, with a justification.
