Subject RE: Want .html files parsed by php engine

If you use MultiViews you do not need to expose the extension of a file,
therefore if you link to /dir/file apache will return file.html if it
exists or run file.php if it exists so you can change from static to
dynamic without having to fix broken links. Also I think Apache will run
file.html.php if you have asked for file.html

It is better not to have to run every html file through the php engine.

Hi Gustav,

find the line with:
 AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
and add '.html' at the end so that it is
 AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .html

You should be aware though, that the server will have to parse through
every single .html file, if there is php in it or not.

Regards
Jurgen
