Subject Restart hangs when piping logs on rotation log program
Date Mon, 05 Aug 2002 20:27:40 GMT
Hello,

The restart hangs the server when piping the logs on a rotation log
program (rotatelog or cronolog).

Environment:
-----------
       Plateform: Sun
Operating System: Solaris 2.8
     HTTP Server: Apache 1.3.26

It seems the restart can't kill the rotation log process. After the
restart execution, on all requests, the server returns "HTTP 200 ok"
(correct) but it does not send the page.

The use of simple log file does not cause trouble.

Does somebody have an idea ?

Regards,

Dominique
