you were right mod_perl was not in the ouput of httdp -l. The question is
how doi get it in there i guess...

Can you confirm that mod_perl is actually compiled into the binary you are
running? To do this, do "./httpd -l" and look for "mod_perl". If you don't
see this, mod_perl directives will never work.

BTW, only ever compile in mod_perl (i.e. use mod_perl statically). I have
never heard of anyone getting mod_perl to work as a loadable object (i.e.
DSO). Anyone disagree?
