Hi

you need to use extended log format logging on tomcat to see even the client
ip.
hope this helps.

Subject: Apache requests

Hy.

I have a question concerning the way requests are handled.

I have the following setup:
-apache 1.3.26 as frontend machine
-tomcat 4.0.2 for handling Java Servlets, not visible from the outside.

The question is:

When apache hands the requests to the tomcat machines, only the IP of
the apache-box is visible, not the original IP which made the request.
Is there a way I can trick apache into passing on the requesting IP?

Thank You very much

Martin
