Subject Referrer in log file does not have link to my site?
Date Tue, 02 Jul 2002 10:43:28 GMT
In my log file I have the following entry:

cse26-23.kawasaki.mbn.or.jp - - [02/Jul/2002:19:30:49 +0900] "GET
/image/nimg/img/space.gif HTTP/1.1" 403 751
"http://nt1.amateurpages.com/p1/index.cfm?ID=AP30402" "Mozilla/4.0
(compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt)"

If I understand correctly this means that the site
http://nt1.amateurpages.com/p1/index.cfm?ID=AP30402 has a link on it's
page that links back to a resource on my page (namely
/image/nimg/img/space.gif).

But I checked the HTML source for that site and no where in it does it
have /image/nimg/img/space.gif in it.

Obviously I am not understanding correctly what the referrer field means
. . . Is the log file entry incorrect or what do I misunderstand?

Jc
