Subject Changing banner with httpd.h
Date Mon, 22 Jul 2002 14:25:01 GMT
Hi, me again...

I have upgraded all my webservers to 1.3.26 and then went to
change the banner again, in line with company policy.

Changed /usr/local/apache/include/httpd.h to read
#define SERVER_BASEVENDOR   "GNR Ltd"
#define SERVER_BASEPRODUCT  "GNR Ltd"
#define SERVER_BASEREVISION "GNR Ltd"

And also made sure my httpd.conf has ServerTokens Prod for good
measure.

Stopped and started apache, and off we go, except it is now
reporting Apache and not GNR Ltd on all servers. Bizarre.

Go on - what have I missed? My trawls through google and mailing
list archives cant tell me....

Cheers,
Flash
