Yes, here's what I used to compile apache_perl:

[scorreia@stevie apache_1.3.14_perl]$ CC=gcc ./configure --bindir=/usr/local/bin/ --sb
indir=/usr/local/apache-perl/bin/ --prefix=/usr/local/apache-perl/ --mandir=/usr
/local/man/ --localstatedir=/var/run/httpd/ --runtimedir=/var/run/httpd/ --logfi
ledir=/var/log/apache-perl --enable-module=unique_id --enable-module=rewrite --e
nable-module=usertrack --activate-module=src/modules/perl/libperl.a

I got it working though, what I had to do was edit the config.layout with the paths and it
worked. I didn't think I had to do that, but you live & learn.
