There isn't one set.  But:

    nc foo 80
    GET http://foo//bar
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
    <html><head>
    <title>403 Forbidden</title>
    </head><body>
    <h1>Forbidden</h1>
    <p>You don't have permission to access //bar
    on this server.</p>
    </body></html>

In any event, I'm not sure what that would have to do with my problem
with double slashes between the end of the machine name and the path of
the file I'm interested in.
