Subject Invalid command 'AuthUserFile'
Date Mon, 29 Jul 2002 13:25:37 GMT

I'd like to use user authentication on our
Apache 1.3.26:

LoadModule config_log_module libexec/
LoadModule mime_module libexec/
LoadModule status_module libexec/
LoadModule info_module libexec/
LoadModule dir_module libexec/
LoadModule speling_module libexec/
LoadModule alias_module libexec/
LoadModule access_module libexec/
LoadModule auth_module libexec/
LoadModule anon_auth_module libexec/
LoadModule dbm_auth_module libexec/
LoadModule php4_module libexec/

<Directory "/var/www/site">
    AuthType Basic
    AuthName oursite
    AuthUserFile /var/www/.htpasswd
    Require valid-user
    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
    AllowOverride None
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all

# cat .htpasswd

# ls -l .htpasswd
-rw-r----- 1 nobody nogroup 21 Jul 29 15:09 .htpasswd

# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl configtest
Syntax error on line 50 of /etc/httpd/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'AuthUserFile', perhaps mis-spelled or defined
by a module not included in the server configuration

What's wrong with our configuration?

Thanks in advance!
